SE24 Town House

A full back to brick renovation on the borders of Brixton and Herne Hill.  Working with the Architect, we effectively zoned the open plan kitchen, living and dining space to create a sociable kitchen, dining and living room, allowing the family to go about their separate activities whilst maintaining a sense of togetherness.  This reconfiguration meant that there was no need to extend, substantially reducing overall costs.  We turned a side passageway which was used as storage but was incredibly dysfunctional and cluttered into three new spaces - a secure storage space for bikes and DIY equipment, accessed from the front of the house, a separate laundry room and a new powder room on the lower ground floor as there was no existing WC within this frequently used family space.

We also turned a fifth and spare bedroom into a spacious family bathroom, redesigned the double reception room to create a family snug/TV room and formal reception room (separated by original wooden doors) and revamped the hallway.  We are currently working on phase two which sees us tackling four bedrooms and two bathrooms!
